Football Recap: Mountain View Mavericks vs. Owyhee Storm
On Friday, Mountain View faced Owyhee in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Mountain View Mavericks took a blow against the Owyhee Storm, falling 38-7. The Mavericks were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Asher Gaudet had a dynamite game for Owyhee, rushing for 108 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. Those 108 rushing yards gave Gaudet a new career-high.
Mountain View's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Owyhee, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.
