Volleyball Game Preview: Centennial Eagles vs. Parkrose Broncos

The Centennial Eagles will take on the Parkrose Broncos at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Centennial has four straight wins, Parkrose has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Centennial took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against La Salle, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles came out on top in a nail-biter against the Falcons on Wednesday, sneaking past 3-2.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Centennial who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 15-25, 25-19, 15-25, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Parkrose lost 3-0 to La Salle on Wednesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-16, 25-11.

Centennial's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Parkrose, their loss dropped their record down to 2-16.

Centennial took their win against Parkrose when the teams last played back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Broncos turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
