Baseball Recap: Vance Charter Takes a Loss

Vance Charter couldn't beat American Leadership Academy-Johnston on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Knights fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 7-6.

Nathan Garlock was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Devin Wallace, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Vance Charter's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for American Leadership Academy-Johnston, their victory bumped their record up to 12-5.

Looking ahead, Vance Charter will be taking part in a tournament against South Granville at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for American Leadership Academy-Johnston, they will take on Oxford Prep in a tournament on Saturday.
