Softball Recap: Ludlowe's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

Ludlowe can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They came out on top against the Stamford Black Knights by a score of 7-2. That's more bragging rights for the Falcons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Allie Tournas, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one run. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Gina Solow was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

Ludlowe picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 6-9. As for Stamford, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ludlowe will head out to face off against Darien at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Falcons 3.5, the Blue Wave 1.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Stamford, they will head out on the road to square off against Notre Dame Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
