Softball Recap: Georgetown Takes a Loss

Georgetown suffered their biggest defeat since March 7th on Friday. They came up short against the Aynor Blue Jackets, falling 12-2. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Blue Jackets recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Georgetown saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Satcher Felts, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Georgetown's record is now 6-3. As for Aynor, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Georgetown will square off against Waccamaw at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Georgetown's pitchers better be ready for this one: Waccamaw has averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Aynor, they will take on Marlboro County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marlboro County has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.6 runs per game on average), something Aynor will no doubt try to take advantage of.
