Basketball Recap: Coastal Brigade Falls Despite Big Games from Levi Ellis and Luke Bledsoe

Coastal Brigade was the 44-24 winner over Pitt County P when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Coastal Brigade fell 46-39 to the Pitt County P Pacers on Tuesday. Coastal Brigade has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Coastal Brigade's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Luke Bledsoe, who posted 15 points and eight boards, and Levi Ellis, who earned 12 points and three steals. Ellis is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played.

Pitt County P found their leader in sophomore Landon Pike, who went 6 for 9 en route to 17 points. Another player making a difference was JT Smethrs, who had ten points.

Coastal Brigade's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Pitt County P, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-11.

Coastal Brigade has already played their next matchup (against Varsity Opponent), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Pitt County P will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Faith Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 27th.
