Baseball Recap: Central Snaps Ten-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Central faced Parkview Baptist in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. Central fell just short of Parkview Baptist by a score of 2-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

Central's loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-5. As for Parkview Baptist, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-5.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Central Wildcats take on Northshore Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Northshore's pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so Central's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Parkview Baptist, they will be playing at home against Terrebonne at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
