Basketball Recap: Caden Whittington Key Part of a Team Effort in Wildcats Win

Callisburg lost to Pilot Point back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Callisburg Wildcats walked away with a 51-38 victory over the Pilot Point Bearcats.

Callisburg's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Caden Whittington led the charge by going 8 for 17 on his way to 18 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Jakob Moore, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards.

Callisburg's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Pilot Point, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Callisburg has already played their next contest, a 58-54 defeat against Boyd on the 14th. As for Pilot Point, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 72-27 loss against Ponder on the 14th.
