Basketball Recap: Bath Takes a Loss

Bath lost against Pewamo-Westphalia back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bath Fighting Bees fell 35-25 to the Pewamo-Westphalia Pirates. While losing is never fun, the Fighting Bees can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 278th, while the Pirates are ranked 25th).

Bath now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Pewamo-Westphalia, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 17-0.

Coming up, Bath will challenge Dansville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bath is facing Dansville at the right time seeing as Dansville is stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Pewamo-Westphalia, they will venture away from home to face off against New Lothrop at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (New Lothrop has won seven straight at home, while Pewamo-Westphalia won seven straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
