The Eagles didn't even let Independence on the board on Friday, marking the Eagles' second-straight 10-0 shutout. Considering the Eagles have won 12 matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Bakersfield Christian pushed their record up to 19-8 with the win, which was their 24th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Garces Memorial, their record now sits at 18-7.
Bakersfield Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Garces Memorial when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 11-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
