Volleyball Recap: Kinzlee Kelly Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat South Bend Washington

After losing to South Bend Washington the last time they met, Argos decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Dragons came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. The game was the first time the Dragons have beaten the Panthers on their court since October 7, 2020.

Argos easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-21.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Argos to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kinzlee Kelly, who had two aces. What's more, Kelly posted four kills, the most she's had since back in September of 2024.

Argos' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for South Bend Washington, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Argos didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Lakeland Christian Academy on the 16th. As for South Bend Washington, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Triton on the 16th.
