Soccer Game Preview: Greeley Central vs. Thompson Valley + How To Watch

The Greeley Central Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Thompson Valley Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Thompson Valley took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Greeley Central, who comes in off a win.

Greeley Central will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Thursday, then bounced right back against Northridge on Tuesday. The Wildcats walked away with a 4-2 victory over the Grizzlies. It was an even better day for Allyson Izaguirre Almendarez as he scored three goals for his team.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Thompson Valley was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They came up short against Berthoud, falling 3-0.

Greeley Central pushed their record up to 7-1-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those four matchups. As for Thompson Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Everything went Greeley Central's way against Thompson Valley when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Greeley Central made off with a 9-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
