Basketball Recap: La Crosse Central Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

It's playoff time, and La Crosse Central had no trouble coming through when it counted. They strolled past the Menasha Bluejays with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 69-52. Given the Riverhawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Bluejays are ranked 225th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for La Crosse Central and bumps their season record up to 15-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points over those games. As for Menasha, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-13 record.

La Crosse Central has already played their next match (against West Salem), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Menasha does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
