The Elyria Catholic Panthers will challenge the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Bees at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Brecksville-Broadview Heights took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Elyria Catholic, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, Elyria Catholic needed a bit of extra time to put away Norwalk. They had just enough and edged out the Truckers 3-2. The win was just business as usual for the Panthers, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Harper Morgan spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up 12 Ks. Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high.

Brecksville-Broadview Heights saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gianna Dasenbrook, who went 2-for-3 with one triple.

Elyria Catholic's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-0. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 10.0 runs this season. As for Brecksville-Broadview Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
