Football Recap: Bluefield Takes Down Oak Glen in a Playoff Battle + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Bluefield had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 54-7 win over the Oak Glen Golden Bears. The Beavers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

The victory (which was Bluefield's sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.7 points over those games. As for Oak Glen, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season.

Bluefield will take on Midland Trail at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots' defense has only allowed 12.6 points per game this season, so the Beavers' offense will have their work cut out for them. Oak Glen does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
