After low-scoring totals in their previous six contest, Belen brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. They walked away with a 4-2 victory over the Grants Pirates on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for Belen as it put an end to their six-match losing streak.

They hit Grants with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sophia Cox (2), Olivia Ortiz, and Haydee Maylin Martinez-Avila.

Belen's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-10. As for Grants, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.
