Baseball Recap: North Clarion Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for North Clarion's offense. They lost 10-0 to Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Wolves in their meetings with Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley: they've now lost five in a row.

North Clarion saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Karg, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. That hit was Karg's first of the season.

North Clarion's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Clarion will welcome Karns City at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Gremlins have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season. As for Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Brookville at 4:00 p.m.
