Volleyball Recap: Horizon Prep Gets the Win

Horizon Prep lost to Tri-City Christian back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. Horizon Prep came out on top in a nail-biter against Tri-City Christian, sneaking past 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Horizon Prep had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 23-25, 25-17, 25-21, 15-9.

Roddick Salas paced Horizon Prep's offense, picking up 17 kills. Salas got some help from Colin Kaese and his 37 assists. Lochlan Church controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Horizon Prep now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Tri-City Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.

Horizon Prep has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Coastal Academy on the 14th. As for Tri-City Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against San Diego Academy on the 20th.
