Softball Recap: Mica Mountain Thunderbolts vs. Marana Tigers
Mica Mountain proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 15) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the Marana Tigers 7-6. The Thunderbolts haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Acelynn-Rose Heston spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
