Softball Recap: Dadeville Finds Home Field Redemption Against Reeltown

There's no place like home for Dadeville, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Reeltown Rebels on Saturday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-1 back in February.

Aziah Lockhart was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in February. Addison Caldwell also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Dadeville pushed their record up to 6-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Reeltown, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-12.

Dadeville didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-3 defeat against Horseshoe Bend on the 5th. Reeltown has also already played their next game (against Lee-Scott Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
