Recap: Indian River Warriors vs. Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Red Devils

The Indian River Warriors were the 51-42 winner over the Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Red Devils when they last played one another last Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. Indian River fell 52-43 to Vernon-Verona-Sherrill on Saturday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Indian River has scored all season.

Vernon-Verona-Sherrill got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Atticus Roque out in front who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. Roque set a new season high mark in steals with three. Eliijah Donegan was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with nine rebounds and four steals.

Indian River's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Vernon-Verona-Sherrill, they pushed their record up to 4-5 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.

Indian River will square off against Watertown at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Watertown has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 565 points over their last eight matchups. Vernon-Verona-Sherrill won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Camden at 3:00 p.m. on January 7th. Camden is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.
