Preview: Elizabeth Minutemen vs. Westfield Blue Devils
Elizabeth is 9-1 against Westfield since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Elizabeth Minutemen will head out on the road to take on the Westfield Blue Devils at 4:00 p.m. Elizabeth has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 236 points over their last four matchups.
Even though Colonia scored an imposing 56 points on Sunday, Elizabeth still came out on top. Elizabeth sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 59-56 win over Colonia. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Elizabeth has posted yet this season.
London Carson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 30 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Mcrae, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Westfield scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They came out on top against Pioneer Academy by a score of 64-53.
Elizabeth is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Westfield, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.
Elizabeth beat Westfield 51-43 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Elizabeth since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
