Softball Recap: Dixie Flyers vs. Hurricane Tigers
Dixie dropped their record down to 10-15 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hurricane Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-7 on Tuesday.
Morgan Staheli was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Chesney Robbins also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
As for Hurricane, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-14 record this season. 11 seems to be a good number for they as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
