Phoenix came tearing into Wednesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Klamath Union Pelicans as they made off with a 15-2 win. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.

Destiny Christlieb and Jersey Stevenson made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Christlieb tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Stevenson didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high. At bat, Christlieb got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Stevenson went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That stolen base was Stevenson's first of the season.

In other batting news, Phoenix got a massive performance out of Keelie Woodside, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Rylie Johnson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Phoenix's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Klamath Union, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Phoenix will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Pelicans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
