Baseball Recap: Catalina Foothills Beats Sahuaro for Their Third Straight Win

Catalina Foothills barely beat Sahuaro the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Falcons' pitcher stepped up to hand the Cougars an 11-0 shutout on Thursday. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by six runs or more this season.

Parker Jacome was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Jeong, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

The victory was the third in a row for Catalina Foothills, bringing their record up to 12-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Sahuaro, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That lines up perfectly with their 2-12-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Catalina Foothills will host Mica Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Thunderbolts have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season. As for Sahuaro, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Salpointe Catholic at 4:00 p.m.
