Volleyball Recap: Dumas Falls Short of Andrews in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Dumas can now relate to. They fell just short of the Andrews Mustangs by a score of 3-2 on Friday. While the Demons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Mustangs 25-19 in the first set.

Dumas took Andrews into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking 11-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-19, 25-12, 19-25, 15-4.

Andrews was led to victory by Danlee Fisher and Macie Miller. Fisher had 14 digs and four aces, while Miller had 15 digs. That's the most aces Fisher has posted since back in August.

Dumas now has a losing record of 15-16. As for Andrews, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 33-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Dumas nor Andrews have any future games scheduled.
