Volleyball Game Preview: Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions vs. Liberty Lions

Mountain Ridge is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Liberty a 13-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Liberty Lions at 5:30 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Mountain Ridge is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Casteel, who was ranked seventh at the time (Mountain Ridge was ranked 23rd). The Mountain Lions lost 3-0 to the Colts on Wednesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-19, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Liberty came up short against Desert Vista on Wednesday, falling 3-0.

Mountain Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 12-16. As for Liberty, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-18.
