Volleyball Recap: NorthPoint Christian Academy Takes a Loss

If NorthPoint Christian Academy was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Providence Classical on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The NightHawks lost 3-0 to the Metrolina Christian Academy Warriors on Tuesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-14, 25-12.

Leading Metrolina Christian Academy to victory were Makena Gadd and Kinsley Overcash. Gadd had 18 digs and three aces, while Overcash had six digs and six aces. Those three aces gave Gadd a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Katelyn Vandergrift, who had ten assists and two aces.

NorthPoint Christian Academy now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Metrolina Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season.

NorthPoint Christian Academy will head out to face off against Lee Park Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Metrolina Christian Academy, they are taking a road trip to take on Hickory Grove Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
