League recap: Park tops Fergus to extend winning streak

Park extended the longest winning streak in Central A this week by beating Fergus, 31-7. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Rangers.

Park was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after defeating the Golden Eagles. The Rangers came in at 20 in the state poll after placing at number 32 last week.

Havre's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Dane Warp threw for 365 and four touchdowns and Zach Plum had 241 yards receiving. On the ground Jordan Schroeder chipped in 128 yards. Thomas Gruber helped Havre's passing attack out by catching six balls for 86 yards.

The Blue Ponies' Warp and Plum have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Warp has thrown for 2199 yards this season, while Plum has 40 catches for 927 yards. Zac Brady from Belgrade leads the league in rushing with 824 yards.

Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Havre takes on Park. The Blue Ponies' offense has racked up 213 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Rangers have allowed only 82 on the year.

Havre's Plum needs only 73 receiving yards against Park to crack 1,000 for the season.

A big matchup in Central A this week will be when the Rangers take on the Blue Ponies. Park is currently in first, while Havre is in third.

The Blue Ponies took down Browning 40-8 last week, the largest margin of any game. Warp ran for 21 yards in the win.
