Baseball Recap: Hitchcock Triumphs

Hitchcock extended their postseason success on Thursday against Onalaska. They had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 6-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-6 on Wednesday.

Hitchcock let Reid Ricard and Luis Gamez run wild. Ricard went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run, while Gamez went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Those three hits gave Gamez a new career-high. Joshua Dyer was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Hitchcock pushed their record up to 12-9-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Onalaska, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-14.

As of now, neither Hitchcock nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
