Basketball Recap: Mayer Wildcats vs. Joseph City Wildcats
Mayer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They were beaten by the Joseph City Wildcats 58-28. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Mayer this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 84-26 back in January.
Jaimen Tsosie was a one-man wrecking crew for Joseph City as he went 7 for 11 en route to 16 points and four steals. Tsosie also posted a block, marking his first of the season. Eli James was another key player, going 5 of 6 on his way to 11 points.
Mayer's defeat dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Joseph City, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 19 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season.
Mayer does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Joseph City, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 61-57 win against Williams on the 7th.
