Baseball Recap: South Panola's Run of Four Straight Wins Now Over

South Panola has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging four runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Water Valley Blue Devils. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Holden Daleke and Jarett Toliver stepped up to the plate in a big way. Daleke scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Toliver scored two runs while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Daleke a new career-high in doubles (two).

South Panola's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Water Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record this season.
