Softball Recap: Tri-West Hendricks Wins Going Away Against Frankfort

Tri-West Hendricks got themselves on the board against Frankfort on Tuesday, but Frankfort never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Hot Dogs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bruins also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Adelyn Lengerich was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Peyton Norman was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Emma Charles was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Tri-West Hendricks was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .514. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Tri-West Hendricks is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season. As for Frankfort, they are on a 31-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Tri-West Hendricks will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Hot Dogs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
