Basketball Recap: Mandaree Takes a Loss

Mandaree was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a blow against the Central McLean [Turtle Lake-Mercer/Underwood/McClusky] Cougars, falling 70-21. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Cougars are ranked tenth).

Mandaree's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Central McLean [Turtle Lake-Mercer/Underwood/McClusky], the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-1.

While Mandaree had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
