Football Recap: Wyatt Eakin Leads Petrolia's Defense on Friday

Petrolia won the last time they faced Olney, and Brodie Jackson did his part to make sure it happened again. The Pirates blew past the Cubs 52-8 on Friday with plenty of help from Jackson, who rushed for 211 yards and three scores while picking up 13.2 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 66 yards.

One reason for the win was Petrolia's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. Wyatt Eakin was especially locked on to Olney's QB and sacked him three times. John Dagenais was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, forcing two fumbles, and making four total tackles.

The victory got Petrolia back to even at 1-1. As for Olney, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
