Softball Recap: Trinity Finds Home Field Redemption Against Casey County

There's no place like home for Trinity, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Casey County Rebels on Friday, sneaking past 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Raiders have posted since May 9, 2024.

The victory got Trinity back to even at 5-5. As for Casey County, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-6.

Coming up, Trinity is taking a road trip to face off against McLean County at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.4 runs per game on average), something the Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Casey County, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Somerset at 6:00 p.m. on the 14th.
