Madawaska's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Central Aroostook Panthers 10-9. The Owls haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Matt Ayotte and Isaac Beaulieu made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Ayotte struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off seven hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Beaulieu tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. At bat, Ayotte got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and one run, while Beaulieu went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That double was Beaulieu's first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ashton Guerrette, who went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ashton Cyr, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Madawaska now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Central Aroostook, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
