Recap: St. Paul Lutheran Giants vs. Eagle Ridge Christian Eagles
The St. Paul Lutheran Giants had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Eagle Ridge Christian 46-14 on the road. The victory was just what St. Paul Lutheran needed coming off of a 57-29 defeat in their prior matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Paul Lutheran to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mia Sherrill, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. Sherrill is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last 15 games she's played. Julie Lunsford was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten steals.
St. Paul Lutheran's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Eagle Ridge Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
St. Paul Lutheran and Crystal City will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Crystal City is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Eagle Ridge Christian, they will head out on the road to take on Westwood Baptist Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Westwood Baptist Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Saturday.
