Basketball Recap: Summit Academy Piles Up the Points Against Clinton School

Summit Academy waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Clinton School 78-41. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Summit Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Justin Rodriguez out in front who posted 21 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasper Meissner, who had 19 points in addition to eight assists and six rebounds.

Summit Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 84.6 points per game. As for Clinton School, they moved to 9-3 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Summit Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 75-68 defeat against Eagle Academy III on the 19th. As for Clinton School, they will be playing at home against Green at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
