            Softball Recap: Santa Clara Bruins vs. Terra Nova Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            The Santa Clara Bruins came up short against the Terra Nova Tigers on Tuesday and fell  8-4. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Jasmine (Jazzy) Ramirez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with one  triple, one  stolen base,  and one  run. The team also got some help courtesy of  Averie Lopez, who  earned one  run and two  stolen bases.
Santa Clara's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Terra Nova, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-10 record  this season.
 Santa Clara will head out to  challenge MacDonald  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Condor have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.1  runs per game on average), something the Bruins will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Terra Nova, they will welcome Menlo-Atherton  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bears have averaged an impressive 8.9  runs per game this season.
