Football Recap: Centennial Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Centennial's offense. They had to suffer through a 66-0 loss at the hands of the Thayer Central Titans. The Broncos' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row dating back to last season.

Parker Perry threw for 82 yards on ten of 26 attempts. Owen Naber was his top target, picking up 49 receiving yards.

Laken Wiedel was a one-man wrecking crew For Thayer Central. as he rushed for 107 yards and three scores on only ten carries, and also threw for 85 yards and one TD while completing 71.4% of his passes.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Thayer Central, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Centennial is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Tri County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Thayer Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lourdes Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
