Volleyball Recap: Poquoson Takes a Loss

If Poquoson was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of York on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Islanders fell just short of the New Kent Trojans by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Islanders have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Poquoson actually scored more points across those five sets (113-105), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 26-24, 14-25, 22-25, 25-23, 18-16.

Poquoson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for New Kent, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Poquoson has already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Tabb on the 2nd. As for New Kent, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Lafayette on the 2nd.
