Soccer Recap: Lake Central Comes Up Short

Despite a strong season so far, Lake Central has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Valparaiso Vikings. Lake Central were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Valparaiso apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Lake Central's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 10-4-1. As for Valparaiso, their victory bumped their record up to 11-2-2.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Lake Central will take on Highland at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Valparaiso, they will challenge Chesterton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
