Soccer Game Preview: Desert Ridge vs. South Mountain

The Desert Ridge Jaguars will challenge the South Mountain Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

South Mountain better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Desert Ridge really get things going. Desert Ridge never let Skyline onto the board and left with a 5-0 win on Wednesday. With that victory, the Jaguars brought their scoring average up to 2.5 goals per game.

Their offense was hitting Skyline from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Mountain). They put the hurt on Skyline with a sharp 6-1 win back in December of 2024. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won three contests by three goals or more so far this season.

South Mountain now has a winning record of 4-3-1. As for Desert Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.
