Softball Game Preview: Cedar Reds vs. Hurricane Tigers

Cedar is 9-1 against Hurricane since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Cedar Reds will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hurricane Tigers at 3:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Cedar has six straight wins, Hurricane has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Cedar's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They skirted past Hurricane 2-0.

Not much got past Sadie Parson, who gave up just four hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Hurricane off the board. With that strong performance, Parson is now averaging an impressive 5.3 strikeouts per game.

At the plate, Cedar's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Hayley Ennis, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. Those two stolen bases gave Ennis a new career-high.
