Softball Recap: Fort Bend Bush Comes Up Short

After flying high against Fort Bend Elkins two weeks ago, Fort Bend Bush came back down to earth. The Fort Bend Bush Broncos lost 13-3 to the Fort Bend Travis Tigers on Tuesday. If the Broncos were looking for revenge after losing 18-8 to the Tigers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kalee Willis made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Dakota Maldonado, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Fort Bend Bush has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4-1 record this season. The victory was the third in a row for Fort Bend Travis, bringing their record for this year to 4-6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Bend Bush will venture away from home to challenge Fort Bend Austin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Fort Bend Austin is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season. As for Fort Bend Travis, they are taking a road trip to square off against Fort Bend Dulles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
