The Thomas MacLaren School Highlanders will head out to take on the Banning Lewis Academy Stallions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Thomas MacLaren School is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.4 points per game this season.

On Saturday, Thomas MacLaren School came up short against Golden View Classical Academy and fell 60-47. The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Caiden Zoerb-Orta, who went 6 of 10 en route to 14 points along with six boards and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Jake Frisbie was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists.

Even though they lost, Thomas MacLaren School smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Banning Lewis Academy came tearing into Saturday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Thunder by a score of 58-46.

Banning Lewis Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points over those games. As for Thomas MacLaren School, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.

Thomas MacLaren School came up short against Banning Lewis Academy when the teams last played back in November of 2023, falling 55-46. Can Thomas MacLaren School avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
