Basketball Game Preview: Casa Grande Cougars vs. Maricopa Rams

The Casa Grande Cougars are taking a road trip to take on the Maricopa Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Casa Grande will head out to face Maricopa after giving up their first home loss of the season on Tuesday. Casa Grande fell 61-49 to Catalina Foothills. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Maricopa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 67-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Canyon del Oro.

Maricopa's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Casa Grande, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-6.

Casa Grande took a serious blow against Maricopa in their previous matchup back in December of 2017, falling 88-38. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Casa Grande was down 50-20.
