Basketball Recap: Apex Friendship Skates Past Middle Creek with Ease

Apex Friendship came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Middle Creek Mustangs 69-30. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 27 points or more this season.

Jasmine Nivar continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 31 points and 13 boards. Her evening made it 18 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Aulbree Arnold also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Apex Friendship smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Loss or not, Middle Creek got some senior leadership from Alysia Pergerson and Sarah Grace Furst. Pergerson posted eight points, while Furst had eight points.

Apex Friendship's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Middle Creek, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Apex Friendship will face off against Green Hope at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Green Hope is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.5 points per game this season. Middle Creek has already played their next matchup, a 53-46 defeat against Apex on the 29th.
