Softball Recap: Valley Falls' Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Valley Falls took a 12-run defeat the last time they faced off against Pleasant Ridge, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Dragons won by a run and slipped past the Rams 12-11. This was a revenge game for the Dragons: when they faced off against the Rams on Monday, they had to take a 18-6 loss.

The team relied heavily on Skylar Neiberger, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Lily Brown was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Valley Falls' victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-4. As for Pleasant Ridge, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-3.

Coincidentally, Valley Falls and Pleasant Ridge will both be playing Jackson Heights the next time they take the field. The Dragons will host the Cobras at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Rams will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
